So far, yes. Whenever I click "Save" to save my recorded file, it crashes.

Hello Noisy, I'm new to the forum, glad to be here, and a little green in the use of FSRecorder but have been in I.T., electronics and electrical for 35 years (career, my business now and hobby). Plus many SIMS type since they were available on computers from the 90's.

I am also experiencing a crash of FS9 with 2.17alpha. I went back to 2.1b3 and FS9 is working perfectly, as you requested another prior poster about the beta version over the alpha version. The crash of FS9 is as follows, it starts up fine and I can select aircraft, location, time/date etc, and all is good. Whether I use FSRecorder or not does not seem to make any difference, but when I exit from the flight screen, it goes to black screen, and eventually a Windows 7 error pops up that FS9 has failed and is being restarted. I have the auto log feature enabled and this is also affected, as the flight is not recorded due to the crash. So far I am not having any or the same problem in FSX Acceleration with 2.17Alpha.

My system is as follows, about three years old now in some components, homebuilt as are all of my systems. The latest drivers and software updates are in place.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (64bit) / Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric Ocelot (I run dual boot O/S)
Intel Core2 Duo 6850 3GHZ, MSI X-38 Diamond mobo, Asus ATI EAH5770 CUcore 1GB, Super Talent 6GB DDR3 1333MHZ, Onboard Realtek 7.1 Surround, Hitachi Deskstar 800GB SATAII RAID0, Samsung 1TB SATAII Storage,
Samsung 500GB SATAII Linux, Samsung 18x SATA DVDRW * 2 Opticals, Thermaltake Toughpower 750W PSU
Zalman CNPS9700 LED Cooler.

Hope this helps in your bug find/fix.

Regards

Hi Noisy

Great, I have downloaded this latest file, and ran a quick record and video render and it seems to be working fine. I was able to exit the simulator as normal and record the log, none of the previous errors I reported happened. So it looks like you have found your bug and fixed it.

I will put it to more tests this weekend and report back.

Thank you

The FS Recorder 2.17 does not work correctly in fsx with pmdg 737 ngx either. When I stop recording let say after 5 min, the saving process takes about 20 min before the simulator comes back from a black screen. 1 min recording takes about 1 min to save and with only few seconds recording there is no delay at all. Something weird is happening when saving. I went back to FS Recorder 2.1-3 beta, and no waiting problems anymore. However the FS Recorder 2.17 did work with pmdg 747 with no problems, even though the recording time was several minutes. FSX, Win7 64-bit, i7 2600k 4.8GHz.

Hi.
I am windows 7 64 bit and FSX user. I have a problem with 2.17 alpha release. When i want to look the other planes in traffic with ctrl+W or ctrl+shift+w, i get this error.

It stops playback or recording after that warning. There were no problem like that with other alpha, beta or final releases. Please, help me about this error.

Many thanks...

Unfortunately I could not reproduce the problem here. When you get the error again, please exit FSX and send me the FSRecorder.log file (you find it in the FS Recorder installation directory). What type(s) of camera did you use when the problem occurred?

All three of cameras (VC, Tower, Spot) are giving the same error.

Thanks...
