Difference between play and play as traffic

Postby X_eidos2 » 23 Nov 2006, 20:00

I've noticed that when I select a file that has been made by combining files using the toolbox, there is a difference in how the file is played back. If I select "play" and select the frc file that has been made by combining 3 other flights, the current player aircraft get's swaped in for one of the planes in the combined file. If I pick "play as traffic" all the proper planes show up in their recorded places and the player aircraft is by itself.

Is this right? To get the file to playback correctly when using just the "play" command, I have to make sure I have the player aircraft the same as the last plane selected when making the combined file.

Is there any way to change which aircraft is assigned to a recorded file using the toolbox, or will that require another tool?

Thanks.

Hi X_eidos2,

When you use the "play" command the current aircraft is switch by the main aircraft in the frc file (which is the first one in the file)

But at the present time, you cannot choose the main aircraft in the combined file (with ToolBox). I will add this functionality in next version.

Nevertheless, you can bypass the problem if you add the file with the main aircraft at first (and select the aircraft), then you add the other file.
